Feeding Guide

Serve on its own or mix with Forthglade wet food. If mixing, adjust the amounts accordingly. A dog's tummy can be sensitive to change. Introduce cold pressed gradually over five days, starting with a 90/10 mix with their current food, slowly increasing the ratio.

Vet approved cold pressed dog food

"Feeding a natural, high quality dry food is a popular choice and it is easy to understand why. Whether cold pressed or kibble, dry food is practical to store and can be more cost effective than feeding wet. Some dogs find the ‘crunch’ of dry food really satisfying, especially if combined with a puzzle feeder or when scatter feeding to heighten their overall mealtime experience.

The recipes have been developed by pet or veterinary nutritionists, meet FEDIAF guidelines and that's why Forthglade cold pressed dry dog food is vet approved."

Don’t just take our word for it...

See what other pet parents are saying about this product

Absolutely transformed my dog since switching from raw to this cold pressed food. He is looking a lot healthier and more energetic.

geoff hunt

Good offer Nice flavours! My dog loves them.

Emma Campbell

Our cocker spaniel has been on this since a pup and we’re very happy with it. Good value for money and also quick, reliable delivery.

Abi

All in one food that is excellent value and enjoyed by my dog

geoff hunt

Great the pups love it. I use as a snack in-between their raw meat meals.

MUTT CUTTS

I have two dogs, both are fed mainly on raw meat but the young labrador has a more sensitive tummy and so I have now split his food into half Forthglade cold pressed and half raw and his tummy is now settled and he is doing very well on the mixture. I have also put my older dog on the same mixture and she too is enjoying it. The cold pressed food is really convenient for travelling too.

Mrs Sarah Yeo

Please stop asking for reviews about the taste of this food- I’m not a dog. My dog seems to really like it and it arrives quickly- so I’m willing to pay a slight premium, but I have no idea what it tastes like!

Sam Brown

My two ESS love these flavours and devour their bowls at feeding time.

Catherine

Best food for our dog, tried raw feeding but didn't suit him. Forthglade has gave him a new lease of life.

geoff hunt

Have no problems with all the varieties of cold pressed food that Forthglade offer, our dogs eat the lot.

Adam Moorcroft

Forthglade food is fantastic. Spaniels sometimes have funny tummies but Forthglade has completely suited my dog and she thrives on it. Her coat is shiny and healthy and she LOVES mealtimes

Tumblyhome Caroline P

Transitioned my boxer onto the cold pressed dry food from raw, he's took to it really well. The price even after the initial discount is very reasonable. No complaints at all.

geoff hunt

My dogs love the dry pressed food mixed with their raw meat diet.

Karen Rees

My dog loves this food, it is kind to his sensitive stomach.

Shirley

My 2 dogs enjoy it so it must taste good ,good value and really good delivery service

Jennifer Morris

Our dog loves this so he must think it tastes great. Not cheap but you get what you pay for and there is no waste.

Mrs Nixon

Both my dogs love this type of kibble and I think it is more easily digestible than many other brands because of its composition and shape. However, even though they are a large breed, standard poodles, I have to break down the kibble into smaller pieces because despite their breed size, standard poodles are on the whole quite "small mouthed". I liked the bundle because it contained a variety of flavours.

barbara

My fussy pup loves this and he hasn't had an upset tummy since I change him onto this :)

Ann Wilson

My dog loves this food and it is well priced.

Ellen

Everything my dog needs for a healthy life

Switching Day By Day

"When transitioning your dog onto a new diet, it is particularly important to do this gradually and to avoid any sudden changes. This allows your dog’s digestive system to adapt with the switch and remain in balance. As a minimum, allow 5 full days to gradually reduce their current diet whilst simultaneously increasing their new food with each meal. For dogs with sensitive tummies, go even slower and transition over 1-2 weeks"

FAQs

What's the difference between Cold Pressed Dog Food and Extruded Kibble?

Cold-pressed dog food stands out for its ability to preserve the most nutrients compared to extruded food. While extrusion uses high heat and pressure to cook the food, cold pressing uses a much gentler approach. By cold pressing the ingredients it helps preserve natural flavours, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats, making it an excellent choice for dogs who need highly nutritious food.

Why is lamb cold pressed not suitable for puppies?

Lamb is a nutritious and wholesome dinner for dogs but we do not recommend our lamb cold pressed for puppies. This is because the calcium is higher than is suitable for growing puppies as their bones and joints are developing and require carefully balanced nutrients.
